Applications open for the R&A Swingzone at Royal St. George’s

The PGA is seeking to recruit PGA Professionals to undertake golf coaching at the 2020 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s Golf Club (12 – 19 July, 2020).

The selected PGA Professionals will be required to deliver professional golf sessions to a wide variety of participants and will be expected to adapt their delivery to suit each individual’s requirements ensuring a player-centered approach. Sessions aim to inspire each golfer and motivate them to increase their participation, retention and progression in golf as well as showcase the value and expertise of the PGA Professional.

Please note as the role involves working with children and young people, selected PGA Professionals will be required to be SafeGolf accredited ( and have a current criminal records check (DBS, PVG, Access NI or Garda Vetting). A Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) certificate (Scotland: SPC or Child Wellbeing & Protection in Sport) are also require, both issued within the last three years. These must be valid at the time of the Championship.
