Back by popular demand and open to all PGA members, the PGA Sandwich Links Championship Pro-Am returns for 2020 and is scheduled for 13th-14th October.
A 36 hole event, it offers a rare opportunity to play two of the UK’s finest links courses and Open Championship venues, Prince’s and Royal St. George’s. Now an Open final qualifying venue, the McKenzie and Ebert re-imagined Himalayas nine at Prince’s has been widely acclaimed, while Royal St. George’s is, of course, the host venue for this year’s Open Championship.
Supported by Callaway and Shepherd Neame, The PGA in England (South)’s Regional Manager, Sam Smith, commented: “I’m delighted one of the UK’s leading brewers and a top golf equipment brand are continuing their support of PGA Professionals and golf clubs in Kent. This is a great event, played over two world famous courses, particularly in the year which one will hold The Open itself.”
Informal practice rounds and reception drinks will held at Prince’s on Monday 12th October, followed by the first round at Royal St. George’s on Tuesday 13th, and the final round and prize giving at Prince’s on Wednesday 14th.
For those looking for a high standard of accommodation in the ideal location, The Lodge at Prince’s is strongly recommended and special two night packages can be booked directly with the PGA South Office, along with all team entries.
