Croft’s birdie blitz seals double triumph for the season

A final event birdie blitz helped secure both the Harold Lees Trophy and the PGA North Assistants Order of Merit for Daniel Croft putting a fine end to a remarkable season within the Region.

The Mersey Valley attached Assistant, Croft, put on a display to claim the spoils at the Dore & Totley Golf Club where he claimed the prestigious Harold Lees Trophy by virtue of a fantastic final score of -4 showing a clean pair of heels to those in second place on -1.

Croft displayed an array of shot making on his way to victory and amassed a total of 7 birdies with his only blemishes coming on the 2nd and 8th holes.

With his victory Croft capped a very positive season in the Assistants ranks never finishing outside the Top 3 in any of the ranking events and taking the title earlier in the season at Swinton Park.

Rounding out the top three in the PGA North Assistants Order of merit were Glen Mowat (Royal Liverpool) & Matthew Kay (Ashton Under Lyne) both sitting some way behind Croft in 2nd & 3rd respectively.
