Neve focuses on total job satisfaction

 

As the new PGA Head Professional and Golf Services manager, it’s all about getting back to what he loves doing – coaching, interaction with the members, and growing the game, writes Charles DeHaan.

Jason Neve has been appointed the new PGA Head Professional and Golf Services manager at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in Woodcote Park, Epsom. He’s delighted to be asked to do what he loves most: teaching, dealing with the members and helping to grow the game he’s passionate about.

Having spent six years as the club’s Director of Golf, Neve acquired a much deeper understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of golf club management, but he really missed the interaction with members and their guests.

In the club shop, Neve’s back in the one place he most enjoys, and he’s responsible for quite a large team of people: from the golf reception staff who handle all the bookings and the meeting and greeting of members and their guests, societies and so on, the club shop team of PGA Professionals, to the concierge team who provide the high end club with all the valeting services that distinguishes the Royal Automobile Club’s personalised level of service to all its golfers.

Neve commented: “I’m doing what I love again, and am very excited to be that much closer to the game itself. The teaching now includes the benefits of the Herbert Fowler Golf Studio, a terrific indoor coaching and club fitting facility named after the Old Course’s architect. As you can imagine, I’m very busy, but I’m loving every minute of it.”
